Casual breakfast, sandwich and burger spot Mangia Mangia has returned to the North End (147 Endicott St.)

Specializing in "delicious, fresh and affordable eats," this petite cafe was in business for three decades before closing earlier this year. According to NorthEndWaterfront.com, it's now reopened, under the stewardship of lifelong North End resident Gary Forziati.

The menu is full of simple but satisfying eats, from egg scrambles and omelets with iced coffee in the morning to wraps, pasta, salads, meatball subs and the famed "Mangia burger" later in the day. Many items are homemade, including hand-cut fries.

With a four-star rating out of 30 reviews on Yelp so far, Mangia Mangia has made a promising new start.

Kevin D., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on February 8, wrote, "The price is great and the quality is good. It's pretty hard to screw up a lot of the things on the menu, but for the price, the quality is much better than one could expect."

And Jennifer F. wrote, "Small little neighborhood spot that serves breakfast and lunch. Previously, I came here for take-out breakfast and a meatball sub to go. Both were made well and hit the spot."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Mangia Mangia is open from 7 a.m.–8 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday. (It's closed on Monday and Sunday.)
