Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top places to visit in Lake Caroline, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of neighborhood businesses. Read on for the results.
1. Dylan's Barbeque Saloon
Topping the list is bar and eatery Dylan's Barbeque Saloon. Located at 2110 W. Northwest Highway, Suite B, it's the highest rated business in the neighborhood, boasting 4.5 stars out of 220 reviews on Yelp.
The menu is all about the barbecue and features a meat platter that comes with two sides and cornbread. Meat options include brisket, ribs, smoked chicken, pulled pork, pork loin and green onion sausage. Round out your meal with sides like green beans, potato salad, coleslaw, fried okra, roasted carrots and more. You can also opt for a meat-heavy sandwich, which comes with one side. 3. Mother Truckers
Dive bar and music venue Mother Truckers is another top choice. Yelpers give the business, located at 2110A W. Northwest Highway, four stars out of 43 reviews.
The bar serves beer and signature cocktails like the Orange Dreamsicle (Smirnoff Orange vodka, Smirnoff Vanilla vodka and ice cream), the Mexican Mule (Sauza Cucumber Chili tequila, ginger beer and lime) and the Shut Your Pie Hole (vanilla milkshake made with Piehole Whiskey).
