If seafood is what you're after, look no further than Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar. It's located in the space that formerly housed Brisbi's Lakefront Restaurant & Bar at 7400 Lakeshore Drive.

The new eatery comes from the same team that operates Felix's in the French Quarter. One of the big draws here is the lakefront location with impressive views from the shaded outdoor deck.

The menu does not mirror the one at the flagship spot, with new entrees and more boiled seafood at this new location, reports the New Orleans Advocate. Oysters continue to be the raison d'être: fresh from Louisiana oyster beds served on the half-shell, whether unadorned, topped with butter and herbs (oysters Rockefeller), or baked with shrimp, bell peppers, sherry and cheese (oysters Bienville).

The newcomer has gotten mixed reviews thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of 17 reviews on Yelp.

Patricia R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 23, wrote, "Our raw oysters were delicious — cold and fresh. Our attentive and sweet waitress made our cocktail sauce tableside. It was very tasty. We enjoyed all of our food and the views of the lake were amazing."

Yelper Harris C. added, “Great view of the lake. Yummy crab claws, fried alligator and meat pies. ... Will definitely be back.”
