A new shop serving up sweet treats has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called The Gelato Cone, the newcomer is located at 18208 Preston Road, Suite D6, in North Dallas.
Founded in Europe in 1956, the business relocated to Texas a few years ago and has another location in Allen with a third opening soon in Plano, according to its website. Visitors can expect fruity, egg-free flavors, nut-free options and milk-free flavors like dark chocolate, pumpkin, watermelon, kiwi and more.
For those looking for a healthier option, the store also offers smoothies. Check out the Exotic Splash, made with pineapple, mango, banana, orange juice, coconut and yogurt ice cream. Or sample the Happy Mix, made with a blend of kiwi, banana, strawberry, milk and honey yogurt ice cream. Freshly made waffles are also on offer.
With a five-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Amanda V., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 23, wrote, "Very delicious ice cream. The place has a very clean and fresh atmosphere. They also have a variety of options for vegans."
Yelper Crecia M. added, “Super friendly service and delicious ice cream! We stopped in on a whim before grocery shopping and were very happy with the experience.”
