Searching for a new coffee roastery? Look no further than this new arrival. Called Roots Roasting, the fresh addition is located at 1552 St. Clair Ave. in Macalester-Groveland.
On its website, the St. Paul roastery says it's "going back to the roots of what coffee was in the U.S. before the industrial revolution" by using traditional methods and roasting its beans in small batches. Roasts include Gut-Pleasing Guatemalan, Very Berry Ethiopian, Herbaceous Indonesian, Classic Espresso and Dedicated Decaf.
Roots Roasting has just two reviews on Yelp, which both give it a five-star rating.
Courtney B., who reviewed the new spot on July 3, wrote, "I'm a fan of this small local coffee shop with big personality! Stopped by a few weeks after the grand opening and was greeted by the owner himself. I asked for his recommendation on an afternoon iced beverage and he crafted an incredibly delicious iced cappuccino with oat milk and simple syrup. Wow!"
Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Roots Roasting is open from 8 a.m.–6 p.m. daily.
