A new upscale dining saloon in Dallas' Victory Park, called Billy Can Can, has made its debut. Located at 2386 Victory Park Lane, it offers steaks, local game, Gulf seafood, cocktails and more.
Notable menu items include the swordfish steak (with soffrito-braised pole beans and salsa verde), rabbit pappardelle (braised rabbit with egg noodles, Swiss chard, cherry tomatoes and bread crumbs) and the Billy Burger (Texas beef, blistered peppers, cheddar and half-sour pickles). On the saloon side of things, it has an extensive wine list, regional craft beers and a number of cocktails. Of those cocktails, you'll find Billy's Elixir (saloon whiskey, Madeira, beef bouillon, sandalwood and angostura bitters), Sonora Showdown (blanco tequila, mezcal, tepache, lime and ancho chile salt) and the Card Shark (rum, Strega, mint, cane sugar, angostura and Peychaud's bitters, served frozen).
With a 4.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, Billy Can Can has already made a good impression.
Tommy D., who reviewed the new spot on June 25, wrote, "Absolutely delicious experience at Billy Can Can for a pre-opening service that felt more like a homecoming. So many wonderful people involved in this impressive modern Texas saloon."
Yelper Jess M. added, "The ambiance is excellent. It has a hunting theme, including shotguns on the wall, stuffed game animals, portraits of legendary hunters and large game animal trophy busts. The bar itself is a massive oak well stocked with fine spirits."
