A new pet store and bakery has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The new addition to West Riverside, called Amis des Paux, is located at 4858 1/2 Magazine St.
The shop makes its own Nola-themed dog treats, including Canine King Cakes, Fleur des Snaps, Thelma's Bananas Foster, Shrimp Gumbones, Blackened Salmon Bites, Dat Shrimp & Grits, Red Beans and more. It also bakes custom cakes for dogs.
Thus far, Amis des Paux has earned one five-star review on Yelp.
Rebekah T., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on July 6, wrote, "This store is so adorable. My dog loved the treats. It is a great place to buy unique New Orleans dog treats. The owner was very friendly and helpful."
Grab your pup and head on over to check it out: Amis des Paux is open from 1–7 p.m. on Monday and Thursday, 1–8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.)
