If you've got tacos on the brain, a recent opening is need-to-know. The fresh addition to North Dallas, called Velvet Taco, is located at 11700 Preston Road, Suite 600.
Velvet Taco, which has several other locations in the Metroplex (plus locations in Austin, Houston and Chicago), offers fusion cuisine served up in tacos.
On the menu, you'll see taco options like the Picnic Chicken (avocado crema, honey-Dijon potato salad, crispy chicken skin and cilantro on a flour tortilla), the Nashville Hot Tofu (crispy tofu, buttermilk ranch crema and pickle on a flour tortilla) and the Annatto Shredded Pork (avocado cream, grilled pineapple, pickled onion, queso fresco and cilantro on a hibiscus corn tortilla).

With a four-star rating on Yelp out of eight reviews thus far, the newcomer is off to a promising start.
Ashley C., who reviewed it on July 24, wrote, "This location is just as delicious as the original, but less crowded. What's not to love? My order never changes; I always get the Spicy Tikka Chicken taco and it has never disappointed."
Terri G. noted, "Love the variety of tacos offered. However, after ordering the Rotisserie Chicken taco, when biting into the taco, there were two chicken bones. Chefs need to be sure that all bones are removed before serving. It's in a great location, though, and should do well."
