Hungry? A new neighborhood Italian spot has you covered. The fresh arrival to the North End, called TreMonte Restaurant & Bar, is located at 76 Salem St., the former home of Limoncello 2.
This is the second location for TreMonte, which established itself as a popular spot in Woburn. The restaurant also has two pizzeria spinoffs, in Lowell and Tyngsborough.
At the North End location, diners will find all of the popular dishes from the original, including baked eggplant with pesto alfredo; gnocchi with prosciutto, onions and peas, finished with mascarpone cheese; wild mushroom ravioli; and veal parmigiana. In addition to wine, the restaurant offers cocktail options like a limoncello martini.
With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, TreMonte is on its way to developing a Boston fan base.
Todd J., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 30, wrote, "Went for a quick drink after dinner. Wish we'd have seen it before, as the food looked great! AC was amazing. So nice and cool in there. In this 95 degree weather, it was wonderful."
Yelper Mike B. added, “Great food and great atmosphere at TreMonte. Glad that they've opened this new location in the North End. Our group had a few appetizers and entrees and everything was great."
And Geno M. wrote, "After dining many times at their Woburn location, I was excited to hear they'd opened up a North End location. I ate there tonight with a group of friends, and it did not disappoint."
