First Draft Taproom & Kitchen is a beer bar that recently opened at 324 N. Sixth Ave. in North Loop. Look out for the self-serve taps stocked with a variety of craft beers, ciders and signature cocktails. Pour as little or as much as you would like and pay by the ounce.

Cocina San Marcos

New to 1515 E. Lake St. in Powderhorn Park is Cocina San Marcos, a Mexican spot that offers classic Mexican favorites and weekend specials.

Trader Joe's

Trader Joe's is a grocery store offering specialty food and more, that recently opened its doors at 721 S. Washington Ave. in Downtown East. The store is huge -- 10,700 square feet to be exact -- and offers a partially covered parking lot with 72 spaces, according to the Star Tribune.

The new business offers everyday basics like milk, eggs, cheese and butter, along with a wide range of its own branded products, fresh produce, meats and other essential supplies. The store also sells libations such as beer, wine and spirits.
