Interested in discovering the newest businesses to open in Uptown Minneapolis? From a ramen restaurant to a fitness center, read on for a list of the newest destinations to arrive in this part of the city. 

Tenka Ramen

Tenka Ramen is a small counter-service eatery that offers five types of ramen, bubble tea and rice bowls. 

On the menu, ramen options include the kaisen with mixed seafood; torishio with fried chicken in shio broth; and the popular spicy miso, which includes ground pork, corn and scallions in spicy broth. Other offerings include Japanese classics such as steamed buns filled with pork belly and fried octopus dumplings.

Yelpers are generally positive about Tenka Ramen, which currently holds four stars out of 31 reviews on the site.

Sevann H. wrote, "What a great find! We ordered both the pork bun and chicken bun. The chicken bun was a show stopper. Crispy fried chicken with a smooth sauce and the crunch of fresh cucumbers. ... The ambiance here is casual; service was great."

Tenka Ramen is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, noon–3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2–9 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)

Waffle Bar

Waffle Bar serves up Hong Kong-style bubble waffles filled with ice cream.

Try the Ice Ice Bacon with salted caramel ice cream, caramel drizzle and crumbled bacon bits, or a sweet Cookieapolis with chocolate ice cream crumbled chocolate chip cookies and sprinkles. Thirsty? Grab a bubble tea, smoothie or slushie to complement your waffle.

Waffle Bar is off to a strong start with a Yelp rating of four stars out of 88 reviews.

Yelper Taylor C., who reviewed it on Aug. 8, wrote, "I had a great experience at Waffle Bar! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the strawberry boba waffle and it couldn't have been more perfect! Definitely make a trip."

Kale P. added, "Waffles plus ice cream? I am in! Delicious ice cream with loads of toppings you can select from. The best part is that you can create your own specific waffle or you can select from the list of popular ones."

Waffle Bar is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and noon–10 p.m. on Sunday.

Anytime Fitness

Anytime Fitness is a national gym and personal training chain. Trainers are on hand to give consultations on fitness and diet goals, and Anytime is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Cardio and strength conditioning machines, as well as free weights and open areas with complimentary mats are on offer. Most Anytime Fitness gyms have optional tanning beds and all locations offer in-house showers.

It's still early days for the new location, which has just one review on Yelp thus far. 

Yelper Gabrielle K., who reviewed the gym on Aug. 8, wrote, "Best Anytime Fitness I have ever been to! The space is large enough to hold a lot of new equipment and still has room for a separate studio."

Anytime Fitness is open 24 hours a day.
