Have a child interested in sports? A business offering youth basketball classes opened its doors in Catonsville earlier this year. The fresh arrival, called Give N' Grow Basketball, is located at 6159 Edmondson Ave.

On its website, Give N' Grow says it believes "youth sports have an unrivaled power to engage and communicate empowering life lessons to our children."

Offerings include group classes that teach basketball fundamentals, typically held at GOALS Baltimore, and an eight-week after-school program at participating schools. Sessions are for players in kindergarten through fifth grade and are focused on improving individual skill set and performance, not wins and losses.

Give N' Grow Basketball has just one review on Yelp, which gives it a five-star rating thus far.

Wesley J., who reviewed the business on Aug. 7, wrote, "The Give N' Grow coaches are fantastic and their training facility is amazing! My children have worked with the coaches for about two months now and their understanding of some of the key fundamentals has increased considerably. As a parent I really appreciate how approachable both coaches are."
