If you've got Mongolian cuisine on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called Hulun Beir Mongolian Food, the fresh addition is located at 7 Holland St. in Davis Square.

The international chain is known for its hot pot dishes kept warm by heated rocks. Hot pot examples include the pork ribs with potato, carrot, sweet corn and green peas, or a tofu version with vegetables. Other house specialties include wonton soup, a Mongolian burger made with stewed pork meat, and the lamb kebab with Mongolian barbecue flavorings. Consider a bubble tea to finish off the meal.

The new arrival has proven popular thus far, with a four-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Su-Young K., who reviewed the Somerville restaurant on July 25, wrote, "Simple dishes. Delicious. No frills. Super-fast service. Will be coming back often."

Yelper Cristina R. added, “All of the foods that we tried were really yummy, with great variety and spice combinations that I hadn't tasted in other cuisines. In those cold winter days that will be here soon enough, it will be just the meal to warm you up, Mongolian style.”
