A new Thai spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 4640 McKinney Ave., Suite 130,  in Oak Lawn's Knox Heights building, the newcomer is called Ka Thai.

Presenting a "modern spin on traditional Thai cuisine," the new eatery's menu features dishes like the Kiew Nahm soup (pork and shrimp dumplings in chicken broth with bok choy), the Red Curry (bamboo shoots, eggplant, basil and bell peppers) and the Black Pepper Beef stir fry (beef, green beans, onions and scallions tossed in black pepper sauce). (See the full menu here.)

With a five-star rating out of 22 reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition has already made a good impression.

Toni D., who reviewed the new spot on July 24, said, "Have nothing but amazing things to say about the quality of food. It is very authentic and even more delicious! Only suggestion: up the spice level. Asked for medium and there wasn't much spice. Be mindful of this if you like spice!"

Yelper Leanne H. wrote, "This is some of the best Thai food I've had in Dallas. We ordered the spring rolls, pad see eew and red curry. The spring rolls had some basil and were very fresh; the peanut sauce was on point. The pad see eew noodles were very good and the vegetables were cooked perfectly."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Ka Thai is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon–10 p.m. on Sunday.
