The franchise has two spots in Charlotte, with a total of ten rooms. Try the Murder Mystery room, where visitors play an unsuspecting hotel guests who must solve the sinister crime that just occurred in their newly-booked room.
Want to shoot for the stars? Check out Lost in Space, in which visitors play as a space team tasked with repairing a malfunctioning space ship before they run out of oxygen.
2. Codescape
Next up is Belmont's Codescape, situated at 933 Louise Ave., Suite 201. With 4.5 stars out of 89 reviews on Yelp, the escape game spot has proven to be a local favorite.
Embark in a seafaring scheme in Shipwrecked, in which visitors play as a team of archaeologists seeking to find an ancient treasure before a rival group of nefarious hunters beat them to it. Interested in creepy old houses? The Residents offers visitors a chance to solve the mystery of the unlivable Winding Hollow Estate — and its ominous attic.
3. Escape Tactic
York Road's Escape Tactic, located at 130 Southside Drive, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the escape game spot 4.5 stars out of 26 reviews.
The joint offers six professionally designed rooms, including King Tut's Curse, in which visitors must break the spell of King Tut's tomb or be cursed forever. Or, check out Mine Trap, in which visitors must escape a collapsed mine before their oxygen runs out.
