Candy Shack Daiquiris is a new drive-through bar and eatery that serves New Orleans-style daiquiris, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic.

Its colorful daiquiris, topped off with gummy candies, come in a dozen flavors, including Texas Tea, Sunrise, Incredible Hulk, Hurricane, Baby Mama Drama, Lethal Weapon and more. Alcohol-infused daiquiris, under the Mixology section of its menu, include the Coffee on Crack, Caramel Apple, Strawberry Shortcake and Tropic Passion.

It also features a small menu of food items, such as wings, chicken strips, chicken sliders, catfish, shrimp and fish tacos. (See the full menu, including drinks, here.)

With a three-star rating on Yelp out of seven reviews thus far, the new spot is off to an uneven start, but it's still early days.

Yelper Patience T., who reviewed it on Sept. 13, wrote, "Interesting flavors and fun looking daiquiris. Cool ambiance with plenty of board and card games for groups. But the lady taking our order and making our drinks was rude the second we walked in the door. Bad service makes my drinks taste bad too."

Latifah R. noted, "First time coming and the atmosphere is very chill with great customer service! The drinks are well priced and it's a nice spot to just chill, have a drink and play games."

The new spot has yet to post its hours online.

Pollo Regio is a new chicken shop and Mexican spot that offers mesquite-grilled chicken and more. Based out of Texas, most of its locations are in the Metroplex.

On the menu, offerings include a whole chicken, chicken soup, the chicken Monterrey platter (seasoned chicken breast with cheese and pico de gallo on top, served with rice, beans and side salad), chicken mole (served with rice and tortillas), chicken quesadillas, chicken burritos and more. (See the menu here.)

The new chicken shop has made a solid impression thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Jamie F., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 2, wrote, "Very clean restaurant and attentive service. They just opened, so still working out some kinks, but the owner seems very dedicated to providing top-notch service. Workers were friendly too."

Barb J. added, "It was pretty good. Lots of meat in the quesadilla. It comes with a shell with sour cream and guacamole. I also had a small nacho with queso and jalapeños."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Pollo Regio is open from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and Sunday, and 10 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Miller Tavern & Beer Garden is a sports bar and traditional American spot that's located within the new Texas Live! restaurant complex and event venue.

On the menu, expect dishes like the Bacon Caramelized Onion Cheeseburger with sharp cheddar and American cheeses; Miller's Fried Chicken, a dish of buttermilk-brined bone-in chicken, maple syrup and bacon-jalapeño corn fritters; and the Grilled Ribeye Steak Frites with herb and blue cheese butter, parsley garlic sauce, watercress and crispy fries. (See the menu here.)

Wash down your meal with beers, wine and margaritas.

The new bar and eatery appears to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood with a four-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.

Taylor M., who was the first to review it on Aug. 12, wrote, "[Our bartender] was knowledgeable of the menu and made a great blueberry mint lemonade. We ordered the cherry-glazed bourbon bacon and weren't disappointed. You can see the huge TV in the arena venue from the Miller Tavern bar, so it was an all-around awesome experience!"

Callie L. added, "They had a lot of different beers on tap, which my boyfriend loved. Our food came out quickly and was really good. We split the cauliflower wings (my favorite!) and the Nashville Chicken Sliders."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Miller Tavern & Beer Garden is open from 11 a.m.–midnight on Monday-Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m.–2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
