Miami Rising for Climate Jobs and Justice

The Miami Rising: People's Climate Movement National Day of Action is a concert and rally seeking bold action on climate, jobs and justice. It will feature world-class performers, local artists, community leaders and elected officials.
Here's a sampling of the musicians and speakers who will be in attendance: Locos Por Juana, a Grammy-award winning Latin band; former Obama administration member Frances Colon, who is on Miami's Sea Level Rise Committee; Cynthia Hernandez, executive director of the South Florida AFL-CIO; and Nancy Metayer, a climate justice program manager at the New Florida Majority.
When: Saturday, Sept. 8, 4-8 p.m.

The Underline Cycling Club

Join others as you explore The Underline's connections to future and existing destinations in the city. Places to visit include Coconut Grove, the Commodore Trail and other historic sights. Cycling enthusiasts of all ages are welcome, but only those 12 and over can ride. Helmets are required.

Building the Baywalk

Join in the fun as you help create the new baywalk near Museum Park. All ages are welcome and volunteers can help create the public space by conceptualizing where benches, art, food trucks or playgrounds could go. Design your wildest ideas. Participating organizations include Moonlighter Makerspace, Frost Science Museum, Bayfront Park and more.
