Topping the list is Hankook Taqueria. Located at 1341 Collier Road NW in Underwood Hills, the Mexican and Korean spot is the highest-rated affordable Korean fusion restaurant in Atlanta, boasting four stars out of 849 reviews on Yelp.

This place is headed by owner and chef Tomas Lee, who takes inspiration from his own Korean heritage. Look for street snacks like classic bibimbap and spicy hot dogs, or fusion fare like Korean barbecue tacos and burritos served with kimchi fried rice.

2. Kwan's Deli and Korean Kitchen

Downtown's Kwan's Deli and Korean Kitchen, located at 267 Marietta St. NW, Suite 100, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the budget-friendly deli four stars out of 266 reviews.

This spot has been operating in its current form since 2003 and was formerly known as the Park Ave. Deli, according to Zagat. Look for classic bibimbap; bulgogi cheesesteaks with marinated ribeye, grilled onions and cheese; galbi short ribs in barbecue sauce; and a variety of traditional deli sandwiches.

Helmed by Danny Yi, the idea for Sokome "came from many years of experimenting with flavor combinations inspired by Southern smoked barbecue with Korean and Mexican influences," according to the restaurant's website.

The eatery uses local ingredients whenever possible. Notable menu options include the Korean barbecue Philly cheesesteak with brisket, sauteed peppers and onion, kimchi pimento and chipotle aioli; and the Korean brisket with daikon, carrots, lettuce and cucumber salad. See the full menu here.
