Poke fans, take heed: there's a new spot in Upper Greenville to get your fix. Called Poke O, the new arrival is located at 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 130, at Mockingbird Station.
The eatery features an outdoor patio and showcases local art by displaying an ever-changing selection of pieces on its color-lighted wall panels.
You can either build your own bowl or choose from its signature bowls, the latter of which include the Mediterranean Salmon (couscous, avocado, yellow radish, pineapple, sweet onion, green onion, bell pepper, mint, sesame seeds and chili lime sauce) and the Tex Mex Shrimp (white rice, avocado, roasted corn, red onions, cilantro, red bell pepper, mango, onion and Sriracha matcha sauce). (See the full menu here.)
Poke O has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.
Bianca L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Sept. 9, wrote, "Today was our first time trying poke and it was delicious! We had the shrimp poke bowl. The staff were very friendly and the food was very fresh."
Yelper Matthew K. added, “The ambiance, freshness of the ingredients and overall food quality were all excellent. I especially liked the size of the fish chunks and their array of sauces, especially the spicy ponzu."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Poke O is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon–7 p.m. on Sunday.
