Topping the list is Mission Manor Escape Rooms. Located at 861 E. Hennepin Ave. in Beltrami, it is the highest-rated escape game spot in Minneapolis, boasting five stars out of 34 reviews on Yelp.

Mission Manor currently has three escape rooms for you to solve. First, there's Asylum, an adrenaline-packed re-incarnation of an old insane asylum that used to house cultists, cannibals and fire-starters. Surely the deranged doctor's notes will get you out in time. Next, there's Inheritance, a game where players must solve the riddle to get a large sum of money. The most intense is Countdown, in which players have 60 minutes to save the city of Minneapolis before a nuclear bomb detonates in the capital. Visit Mission Manor's website for more information.

2. Trapped Puzzle Rooms

Next up is Whittier's Trapped Puzzle Rooms, situated at 2717 Lyndale Ave. South. With five stars out of 32 reviews on Yelp, the challenge course and escape game spot has proven to be a local favorite.

Trapped has multiple locations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area, and seven total escape rooms. Offerings include a Very Potter Escape Room, a Harry Potter-themed game where participants have to work together to retrieve the Elder Wand before the new regime at Hogwarts takes over, and Ice and Fire, a Game of Thrones-themed game in which participants defend King's Landing from the oncoming advances of the Starks from the North. Check out the business's website for more information.

3. Riddle Room

Then there's the Riddle Room, located at 507 E. Hennepin Ave. in East Bank. Yelpers give the popular escape game spot four stars out of 44 reviews.

Four games are on offer here, including Bunker, where visitors find themselves in between the city and nuclear annihilation with just one hour to find a way to save the day, and Sheriff Roy, a game where the law enforcement agent arrests you but won't tell you what you've done. Find the clues and get out of the clink. Check out the website for a full list of games, frequently asked questions and more information.
