
If you wanted to be taken out to the ball game but couldn't score tickets, all is not lost. There are plenty of top-notch sports bars in Minneapolis to catch the World Series, all of which have more to offer than your typical stadium hot dog, nachos and overpriced beer.
Using Yelp data and our own methodology, Hoodline crunched the numbers to come up with the best sports bars where you can view baseball's biggest series.
1. Sporty's Pub & Grill

Topping the list is Sporty's Pub & Grill. Located at 2124 Como Ave. SE in Southeast Como, it is the highest rated sports bar in Minneapolis, boasting 4.5 stars out of 84 reviews on Yelp.
Most of the items on Sporty's menu are made from scratch, including pulled pork, double-fried french fries and chicken chili. Choose between a wide selection of burgers like the Face Melter with pepper-jack cheese, diced green chilies, crumbled bacon and ghost chili mayo.
Yelper Amanda C. wrote, "I was pleasantly surprised by how great the food was. I enjoyed the service and the food very much."
2. The 1029 Bar

Next up is The 1029 Bar, located at 1029 Marshall St. NE in Northeast Minneapolis. With four stars out of 194 reviews on Yelp, the sports bar and traditional American spot has proven to be a local favorite.
According to its website, the lobster roll was named the best in the country by Bon Appetit magazine and also featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." Sit back and enjoy the game on one of the bar's many televisions.
"I love coming here for drinks and making memories. The atmosphere is laid back and people are always having a good time," wrote Yelper Katie U.
3. Mac's Industrial Sports Bar & Grill

Mac's Industrial Sports Bar & Grill, located at 312 Central Ave. SE in Marcy-Holmes, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the sports bar and traditional American spot four stars out of 151 reviews.
On the menu, you'll find a large selection of grilled items, including the Brisket Style Reuben with slow-roasted pulled corned beef, sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing and Swiss cheese. Thirsty? The bar has 27 beers on tap.

4. Ray J's American Grill

Ray J's American Grill, a sports bar and New American spot in Marcy-Holmes, is another go-to, with four stars out of 130 Yelp reviews. Head over to 500 Central Ave. SE to see for yourself.
On the menu, there are plenty of chicken wings with eclectic sauces like the Nutty Rooster with Sriracha peanut butter sauce. Ray J's also offers many types of beer, both local and domestic.
"Ray J's is a bar with great food. Our friends consistently come here as it's a great place to grab food and/or hang out for the night to kick back a few drinks," wrote Yelper Allison W.
5. Peppers & Fries

Then there's Peppers & Fries, which has earned four stars out of 130 reviews on Yelp. You can find the sports bar and Mexican spot, which offers burgers and more, at 3900 E. Lake St. in Longfellow.
According to its website, all of the burgers and burritos on the menu are made from scratch. Choose between Pepper's PB&J burger with peanut butter, pepper jelly, bacon and cheddar or the Bangkok burger with cream cheese, Asian garlic sauce, Sriracha coleslaw, cilantro and jalapeños.
"Their burgers and fries are amazing. I got the Mac and Cheese burger and Bloody Mary and it far exceeded my expectations," said Yelper Melody S.
