A modern beer hall has opened its doors in Cambridge. Called Beat Brew Hall, the newcomer is located at 13 Brattle St. in Harvard Square and comes from the team behind The Beehive.
Formerly jazz lounge Beat Brasserie, the owners have transformed the space and concept, Eater Boston reports. The establishment is now outfitted with long communal tables in German beer hall fashion and features live music and billiards.
There are 24 beers on tap, along with handcrafted cocktails and red, white and rosé wines. The food options include flatbreads, ribs and beer hall favorites like the sausage, sauerkraut and potato salad plate.
With a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the new beer hall is getting solid feedback from clientele.
Kelly O., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 8, wrote, "Beat has a great beer hall feel that you don't see too much in this city, with a space that is tailor-made for drinking with groups of friends, a great variety and quality of beers on offer, friendly staff and room for live music."
Yelper Ryan O. added, “The band was awesome, the beer list was amazing. I mowed through half their tap selection. Nice laid-back atmosphere with plenty of room. For a new place with new staff, I could tell they were trying their best to keep up with everything.”
