Hungry? A new neighborhood Nepalese restaurant has you covered. The fresh arrival to northwest Irving, called Cafemandu, is located at 3711 N. Beltline Road.
The counter-service spot serves traditional Nepalese fare alongside contemporary fusion eats, like the Himalayan wings marinated in spices and grilled. On the menu, look for momos, a traditional Nepalese dumpling available with chicken, seafood or vegetables; choyala, a chicken dish with Nepalese spices; and the goat curry bowl. (See the full menu here.)
The newcomer has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp.
Amu G., who was among the first to review it on Oct. 10, said, "Loved the chicken momos! Got the chicken kothey momo and they were served piping hot and tasted awesome! Best I've had in the Dallas area. The staff is very friendly and helpful."
Yelper Scott Y. added, “I had never had Nepalese dumplings before. They were great! So, so good! Curry and other spices. You get 10 with each order, which is a great value!”
Head on over to check it out: Cafemandu is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m.–2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
