Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top gyms in Minneapolis, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture next time you're looking to shake up your workout routine.

1. The Firm

Topping the list is The Firm, situated in Harrison at 1010 Second Ave. North. With 4.5 stars out of 58 reviews on Yelp, the gym, personal training and yoga spot has proven to be a local favorite.

The Firm dubs itself as a five boutique fitness collection offering cycling, CrossFit, yoga, studio and personal training services. Classes include barre, cardio circuit training, bag boxing, restorative yoga, Pilates and more. Track your performance and reach your goals with heart rate monitoring technology called FIRM factor. It will track your calories burned, max heart rate and more.

Next up is Studio ME Fitness, located at 219 S.E. Main St., Suite 115, in Marcy Holmes. Yelpers give the gym five stars out of 18 reviews.

ME Fitness was established in 2014 and aims to foster a welcoming fitness community that promotes a healthy lifestyle. One-on-one training, small group fitness sessions and intense boot camps are on offer.

3. Alchemy

Alchemy, a gym and yoga spot in North Loop, is another much-loved go-to, with five stars out of 18 Yelp reviews. Head over to 246 Ninth Ave. North to see for yourself.

Established in 2015, Alchemy uses a combination of fitness techniques to completely transform bodies. By combining yoga, strength and cardiovascular training, Alchemy states on its website that no fitness stone is left unturned with its four core classes of A10/20, AStrong, AFlow and APulse.

4. The Shed Fitness Studio

Then there's The Shed Fitness Studio, which has earned 4.5 stars out of 35 reviews on Yelp. You can find the gym and yoga spot at 2800 Lyndale Ave. South in Lowry Hill East.

The business says it is "a workshop for your body" that offers members the tools to achieve their fitness goals. At The Shed, look for classes such as spinning, circuit, Bodypump, TRX and many more.
