First up, there's this celebration of the year's harvest from the Boston Winery. DJ Steve Clark will man the decks. There will be wine, plus fresh pasta, salad, artisanal breads and, of course, the pork roast. Your entry fee will get you one free drink ticket.

Next is this free event, an Oktoberfest celebration at Cheeky Monkey Brewery. Cover band Mr. Doubtfire will play your favorite songs while you enjoy beer and bites. Octoberfest specials include soft pretzels, bratwurst and a wiener schnitzel sandwich. Also, try samples of Cheeky Monkey's new beer releases, like Apple Strudel and Pumpkin. This event is for guests 21 and over.

The Whisky Extravaganza

Since 2000, the Whisky Extravaganza has been fostering a broader and deeper appreciation of whisky and its complexities by connecting consumers and brands through curated experiences. Each year, the tasting experience offers enthusiasts from the novice to the connoisseur the opportunity to explore a wide range of the most prestigious whiskies from around the world.  

Your ticket includes culinary pairings, a premium imported cigar, tour journal with tasting notes, a souvenir snifter glass and unlimited tastings.

Fourth annual Brunch Battle

Lastly, Boston's best restaurants duke it out to see who will be voted this year's Brunch Battle Champ. Competitors include Lulu's, Brownstone, Row 34, Southern Proper, Metropolis, Branch Line and Towne Stove & Spirits. Proceeds from the event benefit Community Servings, a nonprofit food and nutrition program that provides services to those living with critical and chronic illnesses.

Tickets include admission and food samples; drinks are available for purchase at the full bar.
