A new spot to score ice cream, frozen yogurt, coffee, and bubble tea has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The newcomer to Oakley, called Milk Bar Cafe, is located at 3880 Paxton Ave., Suite M.

Milk Bar specializes in rolled ice cream made with fresh fruit and ingredients right in front of customers. Flavors include the Cookie Monster with an Oreo, coffee or matcha base, and the Unicorn Poop with Fruity Pebbles and caramel. Customers can also add unlimited toppings, such as Fruit Loops cereal, Nerds candies and more.

There's also a selection of bubble teas available, including the milk cap teas topped off with cream cheese milk and pink salt.

With a five-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp so far, Milk Bar Cafe is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Anjelica N., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 12, wrote, "Have your (cheese)cake and eat it too! I had the Jasmine Tea Milk Cap with boba pearls. You could sip the tea with the long straw and get the deliciously floral tea. Or sip from the top and taste the milk cap which tastes like mild salted caramel cheesecake. It's a unique blend but you will not regret it. "

Yelper Amanda D. added, “I am beyond ecstatic that this place exists. As a Bay Area transplant, I've been missing my milk tea pretty hard. I happened to wander in opening week and the staff was super nice and helpful, and best of all, of course, the quality of the drinks they produce is on point.”

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Milk Bar Cafe is open from 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and 11:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
