Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top yoga studios around Somerville, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best places to venture next time you're searching for a place to practice yoga.
1. O2 Yoga Studio

Topping the list is O2 Yoga Studio. Located at 288 Highland Ave., it is the highest-rated yoga spot in Spring Hill, boasting 4.5 stars out of 99 reviews on Yelp. An athletic form of yoga is taught here, which combines ashtanga and vinyasa forms and is designed to make you sweat. Its sister studio in Cambridge, which will honor your Somerville membership, has an attached vegan cafe.
2. Be. In Union Yoga

Next up is Union Square's Be. in Union Yoga, situated at 440 Somerville Ave. All classes are open to all levels. You'll find vinyasa, power flow and a power flow with music class, called Bump Your Flow. For a more relaxing session, try the Friday evening yin yoga with its emphasis on meditative practice. With 4.5 stars out of 36 reviews on Yelp, the studio has proven to be a local favorite.
3. Bow Street Yoga

Next, Bow Street Yoga in Union Square is another much-loved go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 33 Yelp reviews. Located in a converted home, the small studio hosts a limited selection of straightforward yoga classes.
There's a basics class for those new to yoga and an advanced class for veteran practitioners. There's also an Unwind class, which combines yin, restorative and relaxation approaches. But the most common yoga class, typically offered two to three times per day, focuses on mindfulness, awareness and understanding through asana, meditation and pranayama practices. 4. Samara Yoga

Finally, over in Davis Square, check out Samara Yoga, which has earned four stars out of 36 reviews on Yelp. On any given day, you'll be able to choose from a vigorously paced vinyasa session, a couple of different flow sessions, yin yoga, restorative yoga, vinyasa with live music and much more. Regulars love the light-filled space, which you can find at 249 Elm St.
