There's a brand-new eatery in town. Located at 928 Seventh St. West in Keg & Case Market, the newcomer is called In Bloom. It comes courtesy of Nick Rancone and chef Thomas Boemer.
The fine dining restaurant features seasonal and wild ingredients such as freshwater fish, fowl, game meats, seafood and foraged foods. The food is cooked in a massive 20-foot hearth, reports Eater Twin Cities, without the use of gas or electricity.
Notable menu options include the grilled trout with leeks and potato puree; duck hearts with butter and garlic; venison summer sausage with lettuce hearts and horseradish; and a two-pound prime porterhouse steak. Here's the full menu.
With a 4.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, In Bloom seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Mindy B., who reviewed the restaurant on Sept. 28, wrote, "Chef Thomas Boemer and Nick Rancone: Back at it again with their new concept, In Bloom! This is my current favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. The atmosphere is cool and cozy."
Yelper A N. added, “In Bloom is just what Saint Paul needs, and maybe even deserves. Located in the cool, albeit trendy, Keg & Case Market, the restaurant is a great, modern space."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: In Bloom is open from 5–10 p.m. on Monday–Thursday and Sunday and 5–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
