Although not exclusively vegan, the eatery features offerings such as the Ethiopian cooked greens, lentils with berbere sauce and atkilt — a curried vegetable stew made with carrots, potatoes, cabbage, peppers and onions. (You can view the full menu here.)

"Fasika is so good!" wrote Yelper Annika N. "Came here last night and all of their vegetarian options are 100 percent vegan. We started off with some amazing veggie sambusas — they were very fresh!"

This plant-based spot comes courtesy of physician-turned-restaurateur Matt Clayton and chef Rick Berdahl, explains the business on its website, and serves up reimagined familiar favorites, alongside new and exciting dishes.

Come try vegan specialties like cauliflower "chicken" wings, spicy peanut stir-fry with brown rice and the Dirty Secret — a burger consisting of two Herbivorous Butcher patties, special sauce, lettuce, pickles and more. (You can check out the full menu here.)
