A new vegan spot has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called Whyld Ass, the new arrival is located at 4810 N. Seventh St. in Alhambra.

The restaurant serves a menu that is made from scratch and is 100 percent plant-based and organic, according to its website.

Whyld Ass offers an assortment of beverages that include smoothies, coffee, lemonade and more. For heartier fare, look for salads, sandwiches and soup.

On the menu, look for the Quiche of The Earth, which includes seasonal house-made custard, pumpkin seeds, and grilled veggies, or a scramble with citrus- stewed heritage beans, roasted sweet potato hash and superfood guacamole.

For drinks, opt for the Metabolism Breakfast Booster smoothie, which includes apple, cucumber, beet, lemon, ginger and cinnamon, or kombucha on tap.

Whyld Ass has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of four  reviews on Yelp.

Laura H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct.22, wrote, “Calling all vegans: this is the new restaurant hot spot … My favorite is the breakfast burritos with sweet potato and lentil sausage; it is so good!”

Yelper LaMisha T. added, “The macaroni and cheese (it's vegan) were very delicious and had a nice flavor. The brownie was moist (gluten free). My daughter loved the chocolate chip cake.”

Head on over to check it out: Whyld Ass is open from 6:30 a.m.–10 p.m. daily. Whyld Ass, the new arrival is located at 4810 N. Seventh St. in Alhambra.
