One Hundred Antiquities: Music from China Ensemble

First, hear the Washington premiere of composer Zhou Tian’s "One Hundred Antiquities," written for a replica set of ancient Chinese bells and modern Western and Asian instruments. Zhou's "Concerto for Orchestra" was nominated for a 2018 Grammy for best contemporary classical composition. This program will also include works by Pulitzer Prize winner Zhou Long and others.

Performance by Andrew Bayer

Next, D.C.'s Andrew Bayer returns to Soundcheck in support of his most recent album, "In My Last Life." Released in August on label Anjunabeats, his new music incorporates indie rock into his usual trance formula, and features guest vocals from Alison May and Ane Brun. The show is for those 18 and older.

Stand-Up Studios Comedy Showcase
