The Visions at POV

First, enjoy a show from Brooklyn-based band The Visions tonight. Formed from the ashes of Shook, the band will play its mix of soul, pop and funk at POV, the rooftop bar at the top of the W Hotel, while specialty cocktails are poured.

Daybreaker rave at Catharsis on the Mall

Daybreakers is taking its monthly breakfast rave to the National Mall this Saturday, in conjunction with fourth annual Catharsis on the Mall. As "A Vigil for Healing," Catharsis is a free, public gathering on the National Mall to celebrate life and healing. 

The Daybreakers gathering starts at 10 a.m. with a free one-hour yoga session, then dives into a dance party with DJ Atticus Mooney and some special surprises at the "Love Wins Stage."

Girl Up's STEM for Social Good Tour at United Nations Foundation

Join global gender equity organization Girl Up for the D.C. stop on its "STEM for Social Good" tour. The free event will bring together panelists, activities from the Girl Up STEM for Social Good toolkit, and opportunities to develop science-, technology- and match-centered solutions for the community. Students of any age are welcome, though the material will likely appeal most to students in grades six through 12.

Film Screening: 'Bergman Island' at House of Sweden

Finally, the Embassy of Sweden will host a screening of the documentary film, "Bergman Island." The film centers on 85-year-old director Ingmar Bergman, who shows viewers his world on the desolate and mysterious Baltic island of Fårö. Watch the trailer here.
