Every year, at least since 1994, people have been celebrating World Vegan Day on November 1. That being said, you don't have to be a strict vegan to enjoy Dallas's vegan fare.
Fortunately, there are plenty of options from which to choose. To help, Hoodline combed through Yelp data and applied our own secret sauce to come up with the best vegan destinations in Dallas.
1. Spiral Diner & Bakery

Topping the list is Spiral Diner & Bakery. Located at 1101 N. Beckley Ave. in Oak Cliff, the bakery and vegan spot, which offers custom cakes and more, is the highest rated vegan restaurant in Dallas, boasting 4.5 stars out of 947 reviews on Yelp. It also has locations in Fort Worth and Denton.
On the menu, expect to find options like its burgers, which have different patty options like the low-fat veggie made with soy and wheat protein or the portobello cap that's seasoned and grilled. Try the Big Kahuna Burger, which comes with grilled pineapple, homemade bacun, barbecue sauce, crispy onions, lettuce and pickled jalepeño. Or get the Chopped BBQ Sandwich with grilled seitan, barbecue sauce, dill pickles and red onion. It also offers platters and salads.
Yelper Mira S. reviewed it on October 14, saying, "This is a Dallas vegan institution. Before anyone understood what being a vegan was, The Spiral Diner existed. I'm from Dallas and a vegan and this place was the only safe place that I could go to and know that I was going to have a delicious, satisfying vegan meal."
2. D'vegan

Next up is Northeast Dallas's D'Vegan, situated at 9780 Walnut St., Suite 360 E. With 4.5 stars out of 176 reviews on Yelp, the Vietnamese, vegan and vegetarian spot has proven to be a local favorite.
