A new Italian spot offering pizza, pasta and more has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 3624 W. Baseline Road, Suite 174, in Laveen, the newcomer is called Mimi Forno Italiano.
According to its website, Mimi Forno Italiano serves Italian food "made with imported, 100 percent Italian natural products and Laveen-harvested produce." The new restaurant serves lunch, dinner, drinks and dessert, offering a selection of wood-fired pizzas, calzones, pastas, salads, starters and more.
With a 4.5-star rating out of 27 reviews on Yelp, Mimi Forno Italiano has gotten a good response so far.
Yelper S T., who reviewed the new spot on Oct. 28, wrote, "Great atmosphere, friendly staff and we met the owner who came out of the kitchen to check on us. The pizza, lasagna and bruschetta were all great. Definitely coming back."
And Mel G. added, "Happy to see an Italian restaurant that offers wood-fired pizza near our home. We ordered takeout, and the whole family really enjoyed it."
