If you've got Indian on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called Curry Express, the fresh addition is located at 147 Highland Ave. in Central Hill.
This dine-in or take-out restaurant has a diverse menu of stir-fried rice and noodle dishes, tandoori entrées, halal burritos and roll-up sandwiches, curry dishes, dumplings, wings and more.
Start with cold spiced potato patties with cooked chickpeas, onions, peppers and topped with yogurt sauce and mint. Finish with the tandoori chicken marinated in spices and served with sautéed peppers and onions. For dessert, look for its gulab jamun, deep fried cheese balls drizzled with honey syrup or the mango lassi, a sweet yogurt shake with rose water.
