Next up is Capitol Hill's Melita's Greek Café & Market, situated at 1035 Lincoln St. With four stars out of 267 reviews on Yelp, the grocery store and Greek spot has proven to be a local favorite for those looking for a budget-friendly option.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Melita's has a mostly Greek menu. For breakfast, try the taste of Greece that includes two eggs, traditional gyros with meat or chicken souvlaki, hash browns and warm pita bread. In the evening, Yelpers recommend the moussaka, which is an eggplant casserole with potatoes and seasoned beef that is baked. A Greek salad and pita bread come on the side. Top off your meal with baklava, a sweet pastry with layers of phyllo dough filled with walnuts and honey.

3. Gyroz
