Alcove is a bar and modern European spot, offering salads and more, that recently opened at 50 Lovejoy Wharf in North End and has received five stars in four reviews on Yelp.
For starters, the menu offers appetizers like a shellfish tower, charred haas avocado and Spanish octopus. Moving on to the main course, there are vegetarian (maitake mushroom), seafood (whole roasted branzino) and land (grilled bavette steak) options.

Wander over to 43 Northern Ave. in South Boston and you'll find Fuku, a chicken shop that has received 3.5 stars out of 41 reviews on Yelp.
Chicken sandwiches and salads dominate the menu as popular items include the CBR, which is a spicy fried chicken sandwich with bacon and ranch dressing; fried chicken fingers; bites or wings tossed in a choice of dry spice, wet glaze or dipping sauces; or a harvest kale salad with chicken bites. Wash it all down with oolong iced tea or a strawberry lemonade slushie.

Achilito's Taqueria

Achilito's Taqueria is a Mexican spot, that recently opened its doors at 38 Hyde Park Ave. in Jamaica Plain. It's made an impressive debut with a 4.5 Yelp rating out of 14 reviews.
On the menu, you'll find a large selection of tacos, burritos and bowls including the lime chicken bowl with grilled chicken breast marinated in lime and jalapeños. Each bowl and burrito comes with your choice of rice and beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, Chihuahua cheese and salsa.
