Looking to try the best steakhouses in town?

Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top steakhouses in Cincinnati, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to satisfy your cravings.

1. The Precinct

Topping the list is The Precinct. Located at 311 Delta Ave. in East End, it is the highest rated steakhouse in Cincinnati, boasting 4.5 stars out of 332 reviews on Yelp.

On the menu, expect to find more than a dozen steak options, nine toppings for the meat, lobster, entrees, hearty sides, a raw bar and appetizers. Yelpers recommend the truffled scallops to start, a classic Caesar salad and the Steak Collinsworth that comes with an 8-ounce filet, king crab and asparagus. Then, finish off the meal with a dessert.

"Supposedly, [this is] one of the best steakhouses in Cincinnati and it definitely lived up to the hype," Yelper LuDogg T. said. "Wine selection was awesome as we put down a few bottles. ... Jumbo shrimp, king crabs and oysters were off the hook. As for the remaining part of dinner, steaks were excellent with some awesome sides." 

2. Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse

Next up is the Central Business District's Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse, situated at 700 Walnut St., Suite 206. With 4.5 stars out of 297 reviews on Yelp, the steakhouse has proven to be a local favorite.

There is no shortage of options on the menu for carnivores. The porterhouse, a 24-ounce center-cut, dry-aged steak is popular with Yelpers, who also recommend the baked macaroni and cheese. Or opt for the lobster pot pie with the seafood tower as a starter. 

Make sure to peruse the vast wine list and dessert menu.

3. Moerlein Lager House

The Central Business District's Moerlein Lager House, located at 115 Joe Nuxhall Way, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the steakhouse, pub and New American spot four stars out of 786 reviews.

The restaurant offers a little of everything including appetizers like barbecue nachos or fried pickles and Anaheim peppers, steak, ribs, chicken and fish. It also serves pub standards such as burgers, cheesesteaks and tacos.

4. The Capital Grille

The Capital Grille, a steakhouse and wine bar that offers seafood and more, is another much-loved go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 173 Yelp reviews. Head over to 3821 Edwards Road to see for yourself. This fine dining establishment has locations across the United States.

Diners can start off their meal with the tuna tartare with avocado, mango and Sriracha and order the bone-in kona crusted dry-aged N.Y. strip steak with shallot butter. Lobster mac and cheese is available as a side. The wine menu, which you can view here, is extensive. 

5. Ruth's Chris Steak House

Last but not least, there's Ruth's Chris Steak House, a downtown favorite with four stars out of 176 reviews. Stop by 100 E. Freedom Way at the Banks development to hit up the upscale chain restaurant the next time you're looking to satisfy your cravings.

Yelpers raved about the 22-ounce cowboy ribeye and the lamb chops, which are cut extra thick, marinated overnight and broiled. For guests not interested in meat, there are fish, seafood and chicken options on the menu. 

"I had a great dinner this evening," Yelper Ramsey B said. "[It has a] kind staff and it's an excellent dining experience. Ruth's Chris is as good as it gets. Our filet mignon, crab cakes, fired corn, baked potato and crème brulee was perfectly prepared. I look forward to dining here again next time I'm in town."
