A new spot to score Texas-style barbecue has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 8901 N. Seventh St. in Sunnyslope, the new addition is called Little Miss BBQ. This is its second location in the city.
No surprises here as the menu is dominated by brisket, pulled pork, turkey, sausage and beef ribs cooked on Camelback Smokers. Order your meat as a platter, with sides or in a sandwich. Diners can choose the brisket with potato salad and coleslaw, or opt for the pulled pork sandwich and add ranch-style beans and jalapeño cheddar grits.
Little Miss BBQ has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp.
Ed N., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 25, wrote, "Everything you know and love about the original location — but even better and bigger. This brand-new location has a bar, longer hours and significantly more indoor (and outdoor) seating. The barbecue at the new location is actually as good or better than at the original location."
And Connor O. wrote, "Best barbecue ever, hands down. No competition. Is it worth the wait? Heck yeah, it is. Be patient, make friends in line [and] you'll get through it. Honestly, you just need to come here and try it for yourself. Then, you will understand why it's the best in the west."
