A new spot to score smoked meats has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Animales Barbeque Co., you can find the food truck at 1121 Quincy St. NE in northeast Minneapolis. It's stationed behind Able Seedhouse + Brewery and comes courtesy of local chef Jon Wipfli, City Pages reports.
Stop by for barbecued pork, chicken, brisket and sausages. Tacos, side dishes and appetizers are also on offer.
Animales has gotten good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Alex D., who reviewed the new spot on Oct. 29, wrote, "This is hands down the best barbecue in the Twin Cities. The ribs have the perfect texture. Not too fall off the bone and just the right mouth feel. The dry rub and smoke is perfect."
Lauren S. added, "We had the sausage, brisket and ribs. All were just like I like them. Not too saucy, perfectly dry rubbed. It was easy to place our order and the wait was barely 10 minutes. The items we chose were delicious and perfect for football Sunday."
