A new fast casual Indian spot has opened for business in the neighborhood. Located at 5633 N. Tarrant Parkway, the fresh arrival is called Spice 8.
The build-your-own entree concept allows you to pick from a bowl, wrap, pizza, momo or biryani, building each one with your choice of protein and veggies. You can also score a kebab or curry entree, a samosa plate and other options. Pair your meal with a beer and finish up with a gulab jamun (a milk-based fried dough dipped in sugar syrup). (See the full menu here.)
The new arrival has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp.
Larry M., who was among the first to review it on October 30, said, "Pretty good place to eat. The food appears to have influences from India, as well as Nepal, and the service is pretty fast unless you get the momos. And, speaking of the momos, these had a good flavor, and the sauces are pretty cool."
Yelper Jen M. added, "It was delicious! Think Chipotle, but with Indian food. I had the super bowl. They let me customize everything, even mixed the rices together."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Spice 8 is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
