A new tiki bar and cocktail bar has opened for business in the neighborhood. The fresh addition to the South End, called Shore Leave, is located at 11 William E. Mullins Way.
On the menu, look for shareable salads and appetizers. Diners can choose the scallion pancake that comes with traditional sauce, king crab dip, miso, mayo and mentaiko, or opt for the karaage chicken wings doused with black sesame, lime and Sichuan chili oil.
There's also an extensive cocktail menu, with offerings that include the namesake Shore Leave cocktail, which includes white and Jamaican rums, passionfruit and madeira. (Take a look at the full menus here.)
Shore Leave has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp.
Jan Mark H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 18, wrote, "Beautiful space, awesome drinks and food. ... Definitely a must-visit destination and [the] perfect place to go on a mini vacation without having to book a flight or hotel."
And Jon J. wrote, "Brand new beautiful underground tiki bar in South End with delicious Pacific Island-inspired cuisine and an amazing assortment of unique cocktails.
