Special Education 101

An informational meeting will be held for parents of special-needs children. The event, hosted by the Brighton Center, is aimed at helping parents understand their child's educational rights and becoming an advocate for their child. This free, three-hour course will include a light meal and free child care. Advanced registration is requested for adults and children attending.

Healthy Workplace Recognition Ceremony

The Healthy Workplace Recognition Program will honor area employers that offer workplace wellness programs to their employees. Guest speakers in attendance will include District 9 Councilman John Courage and Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar. Breakfast, refreshments and music will be included. The event is free; advanced registration is requested.

Kids' Tamalada with Chef Cariño Cortez

Chef Carino Cortez will host a class for children ages 5 and older on how to make tamales. The class will include a story reading, lesson on tamale preparation, tamales and hot chocolate. Participants can also take additional tamales home.

Rolling Inspiration Holiday Party
