Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top trinket sources in Saint Paul, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to venture next time you're in the market for toys.

1. Mischief Toy Store

Topping the list is Mischief Toy Store. Located at 818 Grand Ave. in Summit Hill, it is the highest rated toy store in Saint Paul, boasting five stars out of 14 reviews on Yelp.

Not only does this spot offer games, puzzles and other fun toys, but it can also host birthday or event parties. Come by the Game Room on Friday night for a Magic The Gathering tournament. 2. Choo Choo Bob's Train Store

Next up is Merriam Park's Choo Choo Bob's Train Store, situated at 2050 Marshall Ave. With 4.5 stars out of 21 reviews on Yelp, the toy train shop has proven to be a local favorite.

Founded in 2005, Choo Choo Bob's offers "an interactive play area that's open daily to the public, operating train layouts, a weekly story hour, a wide selection of toys and gifts and private birthday party rental packages," according to its website. It is also one of the only places to score Thomas & Friends train gear.  

3. Red Balloon Bookshop

Summit Hill's Red Balloon Bookshop, located at 891 Grand Ave., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the toy store and bookstore 4.5 stars out of 16 reviews.
