A new bar has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Sazerac, the newcomer is located at 821 N. Second St. in Central City.

Although open during its soft opening, the grand opening is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 21. Customers can stop in and try out one of the signature cocktails or one of the 24 local, regional and national craft brews that are rotated on tap.

The fresh addition has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.

Nye P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Dec. 14, wrote, "[It has a] 1930's speakeasy bar vibe with a variety of liquor and craft beers on draft selection. I had a Strawberry Blonde Ale, but you should probably venture into the cocktail the place was named after, [the] Sazerac."

Yelper fernando d. added, “Went to the soft opening and was blown away! Great bar concept that almost feels like a club [with a] huge patio. Cocktails on the affordable side compared to other places downtown that are charging $12 and up. [It had a] great vibe. Best of luck!”

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Sazerac is open from 6 p.m.–2 a.m. daily.
