Looking for a new spot to get axe throwing and more? A new business is here to help. Called Urban Axes, the new addition is located at 2 Union Square in Union Square.

Let the games begin at this spot. It's part of a fast-growing national chain where trained coaches help you master the basics of axe-throwing or sharpen your skills. Drop by for a walk-in throwing session (see schedule here) or book a spot for competitions, team-building activities, birthday parties and more.

For those who want to get serious about ax-throwing, eight-week leagues are also available. (Find more information on Urban Axes' website.)

The fresh addition has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Jeff R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Dec. 19, wrote, "It's an amazing place to have a company outing or team building exercise. Throwing axes may seem intimidating, but the instructors are super friendly, and there's a short tutorial and warm up session."

Yelper Jenna J. added, "I came here on a Sunday afternoon with a group of four as a walk in (only groups of 5+ can reserve time). Everyone who was working that day was super friendly and engaged and made sure we were all having fun."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Urban Axes is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Tuesday-Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
