Poke-Poke makes Southside debut, with poke and morePhoto: Poke-Poke/Yelp

A new Hawaiian spot, offering poke and more, has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Called Poke-Poke, the newcomer is located at 1515 W. Magnolia Ave. in Southside.

With another location in Austin, Poke-Poke originated in Los Angeles. The new Fort Worth location also specializes in poke. Look for ahi tuna or salmon tossed in soy sauce, sesame oil, onions and sesame seeds.

Poke-Poke has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.

Rich D., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on Dec. 22, wrote, "I stopped by on a whim on the way to a rodeo. I might have to make the trip out from Dallas again just for this restaurant."

Yelper Sean W. added, “This is exactly what I'm looking for when I think of poke. Great tuna with just the right amount of seasoning, and it's not hidden with an abundance of toppings. If you haven't already, please give this place a try.”

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Poke-Poke is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. daily.
