A new spot to score salads and wraps has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Salata, the new addition is located at 3161 E. Broad St., Suite 103.
At this franchise location, your salad or wrap is completely customizable. Choose your lettuce base, including kale, spinach and a spring mix, and then add a protein like chicken or quinoa. There are over 50 toppings to choose from and 10 house-made dressings, such as ginger lime and fat-free mango. Add a broccoli soup and some sea salt caramels to round it out. With a 4.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition has made a promising start.
Yelper Emma W., who reviewed it on Dec. 7, wrote, "They have your traditional toppings with some unusual ones like pea sprouts and radishes. They have several cheese options and you can also get eggs. If you ask for more of one topping they will happily add it to your salad. They have several different proteins and, if you're not sure, ask for a sample first. I picked chicken pesto."
And Claudia M. wrote, "Love it. The place is clean, the staff friendly and the salads are fresh. ... I look forward to making this one of my regular places to dine weekly. So much to choose from - excellent salad selections."
