Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top sources of trinkets in Boston, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to venture next time you're in the market for some toys.

1. Tadpole

Topping the list is Tadpole. Located at 58 Clarendon St. (between Chandler Street and Columbus Avenue) in South End, it offers baby gear and furniture as well as toys for kids 10 and under, and is the highest rated toy store in Boston, boasting five stars out of 32 reviews on Yelp.

2. JP Comics And Games

Next up is Jamaica Plain's JP Comics And Games, situated at 603 Centre St. (between Pond Street and Parley Avenue). With four stars out of 32 reviews on Yelp, the toy and comic book store has proven to be a local favorite.

It carries comics books, board games and card games suited for kids of all ages, including Magic and Pokemon. Make sure to check out calendar of Magic events on the website for all the happenings on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, such as Friday Night Magic and the Sunday EDH/ Brawl. 

3. Magic Beans

Back Bay's Magic Beans, located at 776 Boylston St., Suite 6A in the Prudential Center (between Gloucester and Fairfield streets), is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the store four stars out of 24 reviews.
