Bartaco

Bartaco is a spot to score tacos and more. The national chain has several outposts across the country.

The Mexican joint specializes in tacos and offers a wide variety of different options on the menu.  It also serves salads, rice bowls, tamales, quesadillas and more.

The taco spot's current Yelp rating of 4.5 stars out of eight reviews indicates positive attention from users.

Yelper Sharonica R., who reviewed it on Dec. 23, wrote, "I had the opportunity to eat at Bartaco a couple of years ago in Atlanta and was super excited to know that Dallas has a location. Today, I visited and it was as good as I remembered. The customer service, food and drinks were great. Also, it is reasonably priced."

And Jennifer F. added, "Delicious food, fun atmosphere and attentive/knowledgeable staff. They were especially helpful with food allergies, even helping suggest alternative items or modifications."

The new spot s open from 11 a.m.–midnight daily.

Vitality Bowls

Vitality Bowls is a spot to score açaí bowls, juice and smoothies.

On the menu, expect to see açaí bowls like the Resolution with blended açaí and pitaya, coconut water, chia seeds, kale, mint, strawberries and mango; the Dragon with pitaya, mango, juice, coconut milk, bananas, pineapple and raspberries; and the Immunity with fresh lemon and ginger blended with acerola, camu camu, kale, banana and mango. It also serves paninis, salads, soups and more.

The spot currently holds three stars out of one review on Yelp, but it's still early days for the new business.

Savanna J., who was the first to review it on Dec. 16, wrote, "Everything tasted amazing. But at other locations that I've been to, they fill the bowls up double the amount that this location did." 

The new business is open from 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.–7 p.m. on Sunday.

Slater's 50/50

Slater's 50/50 is a beer bar and traditional American spot.

This spot is part of a chain that has locations in four states. Expect burgers, wings, salads and more on the menu. End your dining experience with the bacon brownie for dessert.  

With a 3.5-star Yelp rating out of 20 reviews on Yelp, Slater's 50/50 is off to a solid start.

Yelper Samuel G., who reviewed Slater's 50/50 on Oct. 23, wrote, "The best way to start is with the nachos. They are super good! Get the family nachos with brisket on top. You can also get a flight of beers to try different ones."

Nikki W. added, "I had the barbecue burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The sweet potato fries were solid and the staff was super friendly."

Slater's 50/50 is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday.
